Recipient of the Stein Grant in
August 2009
On May 26th and 27th 2009 I coordinated and participated in the symposium "Preservation: Sustainability" held at Parsons The New School for Design in New York City, NY. The symposium was organized by Cornell's Historic Preservation Planning Program and featured 2 tracks; "Preservation : Sustainability 2" and "Preserving Stein Communities".
On May 2nd 2009 I attended the The Landmark Society of Western New York’s 23nd Annual
Regional Preservation Conference titled “Maintaining Hometown Character in the 21st Century” held in Medina, NY. I attended Track A for both sessions, titled "Where's the Money? Restoring Economic Vitality in Your Community". Read about the post-conference updates here.
On January 18th 2009, I presented part of my Graduate research at a 3-day Conference titled "Tangible and Intangible Heritage of the Hampi Region" at the NIAS Campus in Bangalore, India. The conference featured leading Hampi historians, archaeologists and researchers from across the world. My presentation was titled "Future of Hindu Temples at Hampi as Intangible and Tangible Resources". View abstracts from the conference here.
